Paul Cartwright Branding was appointed by Longé Limited to design the snack food packaging identity for a new range of African snacks.
Comprising of varieties of ‘chin chin’ – a delicious, deep fried, sweet pastry and two varieties of plantain chips, the products were to be sold in printed cardboard tubes.
Using the client’s existing logo the range we have designed a simple template structure to hold the graphics and photography.
Each snack variety has its own colour-way inspired by one of a series of African paintings from a collection available at sister company, Longé Arts.
The front-of-pack tube graphics deliberately underplay the African origins of the snacks in order to appeal to a wider, more international market.
Large scale studio photography of the snacks themselves tempt the customer without the need to open the pack.
As well as the five varieties being sold in tubes, three varieties are sold in convenient snack bag sizes.
