Exciting hair braid packaging identity design project from us for the first in a new line of hair braid extension products for Mamado International.
The new brand is called Obsession and is a further addition to the Mamado hair and beauty brand portfolio. Having designed much of their hair extensions packaging, they came to us to design the identity and graphics for Ultra Braid, the hero product for their new hair braid brand.
Featuring beautiful flowing scarf-type stock imagery and a new sophisticated logo design, the new hair braid graphic identity offers a fresh and contemporary look to the hair extensions market.
The logo consists of a ‘hair swoosh’ icon and lettering featuring custom drawn ‘S’s.
Folded product inserts and accompanying product swing tickets both feature the ribbon imagery which has been specifically selected to work both horizontally and vertically – important in this market where hair product packaging tends to be long and narrow in format.
Model photography features on the front, back and on the swing ticket and has been styled to ensure that the model’s clothing ties-in with the overall colouration of the braided hair packaging graphics.
A series of custom ‘features’ icons has been created to aid the customer’s selection and to enable non-English speaking markets to understand the product benefits also.
Hair product titles and descriptions appear in bold capitals in an eye-catching silver foil and fuchsia pink combination.
The product is currently available online and at independent hair and beauty product retailers.
Since this work on the original Ultra Braid packaging we have created many artworks for the Obsession brand, one in particular is our work on a children’s range of hair braids.
