New skincare packaging identity for unisex UK-based brand! Paul Cartwright Branding were contacted by a new startup company, Ultimate Bodycare UK to design the packaging graphic identity and product graphics for a new skincare range called Body Armour.
THE RANGE
Offering paraben-free ‘ultimate skin protection’ the initial selection of products comprises of a body lotion, hand lotion, face cream and a body butter sold in stylish brushed aluminium bottles and jars.
THE IDENTITY
The resulting Body Armour logo features a ‘defensive/protective’ device, featuring three layers, representing protection, hydration and nourishment for the skin.
DEFEND & PROTECT
The packaging identity for the skincare range uses ‘no-label’-look labelling to create a premium screen-printed effect, allowing the effect of the aluminium material to be used to the maximum.
PROTECTIVE SKINCARE PACKAGING IDENTITY
Complementing the brand name, the protective ‘armour’ concept continues further, tieing-in with the brushed aluminium finish of the primary products, which are topped with stylish glossy black pumped caps.
Armour-like ‘plates’ have been created as a detail on the labelling of the bottles and jars through the use of printed shadows, enhanced further with silver foiled ‘rivet’ details which feature throughout the graphic identity.
The new unisex skincare range is available online and at independent retailers.
FROM THE CLIENT:
We initially noticed Paul as a lead brand designer in the cosmetics industry having admired his work on many well known products. We knew there was no one better to design our debut brand; Body Armour: Ultimate Skin Protection. Paul has consistently understood our brand concept and helped shape our dreams into reality. He has provided guidance throughout the whole process and we are forever grateful. We would not hesitate in recommending Paul as a talented designer able to breathe life into any ideas that a fledgling company like ourselves may have.
