PROJECT: New skincare product graphics design project for Merumaya.
After years in the skincare business, the client came to us with a brief to create an identity for their own skincare product range that was to be both innovative, credible and personal and to express the ‘integrative’ philosophy behind the range.
THE LOGO
The main MERUMAYA logotype is coupled with a strong, interlocking capital ‘M’ marque, representing the double ‘M’ of the brand name, which sit above the ‘integrative, effective skincare’ lettering – the prominence of which was a key factor of the design brief.
This lock-up then forms the task of being both logo AND marketing message in one.
SKINCARE PRODUCT GRAPHICS
A variety of colour options were investigated before settling on the chosen routet. The packaging’s general colour-way of the range is a soft warm grey offset by a vivid raspberry colour.
The raspberry colour, which is actually a metallic ink for additional eye-appeal, contrasts with a neutral buff coloured background, creating a modern, approachable feel.
The large ‘M’ marque from the logo is used as a decorative device, wrapping around cylindrical pumps and tubes and across corners of product cartons.
THE PHYSICAL SKINCARE PACKAGING
The range consists of twelve products, mostly consisting of labelled pumps and tubes and printed cartons. The range also features a taster sample set comprising of smaller-sized trial tubes and retail sample tester cards in 5ml tubes and sachets.
SKINCARE PRODUCT PACKAGING ARTWORK
As well as creating the brand’s logo and developing the skincare packaging graphic identity, we have produced all of the final production artworks for this new skincare product range consisting of twelve products.
Since launch back in 2012, we have completely refreshed the packaging graphics of the skincare product range and details of the latest update are here.
Details of the design of another range of targeted skincare for Phytomone is here.
